A beautiful bottle. The wine opens with fruit, clean and precise, and there's nothing to suggest that it's almost 10 years old. Less toasted than the 2008, with a fruit dominated by freshly pressed grapes, this 2009 shows great presence on the palate. Intense, fresh and long, it can be drunk within the year or enjoyed for a long time to come. It's clear that Palmer has mastered the art of vintage.
