Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
A champagne house located in Buxeuil in the Côte des Bar region of the Aube department, it is run by François Moutard, his two sisters, Agnès and Véronique, and their children, Thomas, Édouard, Alexandre, Benoît, and Victor—some of whom work on the estate in their areas of expertise. Of the house’s 22 hectares, the vast majority is planted with Pinot Noir, which grows alongside Chardonnay and so-called “forgotten” grape varieties—Petit Meslier, Arban, and Pinot Blanc—which are highlighted in the Cuvées Rares line. In addition, the estate owns a vineyard in Burgundy and a distillery.
