Moutard
Since 1980, Véronique, François and Agnès Moutard have been at the helm of this company which, in addition to champagne, produces Burgundy wines and owns the region's only artisanal distillery. Their father, Lucien, anticipated the development of the region as early as the 1950s. The 23 hectares of vineyards are spread over the Côte des Bar in the communes of Buxeuil and Les Riceys. François Moutard is proud of his vineyard, dominated by pinot noir, but which still includes a few ares of arbane vieilles vignes, a grape variety that has virtually disappeared from the vineyard today. This talented winemaker is a fine interpreter of all the grape varieties and terroirs of Champagne. The new generation has arrived with Thomas, Édouard, Alexandre, Benoit and Victor. A family business in its purest definition.
