Gault&Millau's review
Lucien Collard is issued from a Champagne family, they cultivated vines in Bouzy as early as the 17th century even before the advent of champagne when all the wines hadn't yet become sparkling. Since then, each generation has been committed to continuing the work of their ancestors in the estate. The Pinot Noir reigns and practices such as the exclusive use of the coeur de cuvée, the absence of malolactic fermentation and the prolonged ageing contribute to the quality of their wines. This estate received the High environmental value certifiaction (HVE) and has been developing organic farming methods for a year (no herbicides, work of the soil, infusion of plants).
