Restrained, the bouquet reveals discreet aromas of beeswax, ripe summer fruit (melon, yellow peach, apricot) and a touch of toast. The body is full-bodied and fleshy. Notes of toast and spices (cinnamon, curry) follow through to a round finish.

Founded in 1812 in the village of Tours-sur-Marne, the house enjoyed its heyday under the impetus of Bernard de Nonancourt, a key figure in the region who passed away in 2010. He was the founder of the Laurent-Perrier group, which also includes de Castellane, Salon and Delamotte champagnes. Michel Fauconnet, a member of the management board, is cellar master and director of vineyards, supplies and production. The house embodies both tradition and modernity: as early as 1981, Laurent-Perrier was the first to create a champagne without any dosage ("Ultra Brut"), and is currently presenting its highly successful blanc de blancs non dosé. The "Grand Siècle" cuvée is one of the finest in the region.
