The foam is creamy and dense when served, and the bubbles are fine and lively in the glass. The color is gold with slightly green nuances. The nose is fine and delicate, with aromas of almond, lemon balm, reinette apple, pomelo, chalk, rhubarb and white pepper. The attack is supple and honeyed, with a dry apricot flavor and more incisive, thirst-quenching bubbles in the mid-palate. The finish is saline and appetizing. In a light, sapid style, this fine champagne is best enjoyed with monkfish and scallop brochettes in Béarnaise sauce.

Lancelot-Pienne

The estate is located in Cramant, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, where it owns most of its 8.5 ha of Grand Cru vines (Avize, Chouilly and Cramant). Managed by Gilles Lancelot, a friendly and competent man, the family business, whose history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, vinifies its Chardonnays in vats to allow the terroir's minerality to express itself to the full. Julien, representing the fifth generation, joined the family business in 2022. In addition, the brand reduces its dosage in all its cuvées. The wines have excellent ageing potential.
