Jean-Noël Haton
Champagnes
Gault&Millau's review
Since 1928, this family-run business has mastered its independence and created its own vineyards in some of Champagne's most renowned crus. Octave Haton, the great-grandfather, founded the estate, and was succeeded by René Haton, who developed the property and cultivated the vines, which have an average age of 35 years, using integrated farming methods. The family vineyard covers 22 hectares around the village of Damery. Today, Jean-Noël Haton is assisted by his son Sébastien. Special care is given to the vineyard, with practices such as ploughing and disbudding. Wide range recommended.
