Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Clément and Charlotte Vergnon are continuing the work of their elders without altering the estate’s positioning; since its inception, it has consistently produced only 100% Chardonnay champagnes. Of the estate’s 5.31 hectares, the Vergnon family is fortunate to own plots in some of the finest terroirs, including Vertus, Oger, Avize, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, where the estate is headquartered. Plot-by-plot management is the first of Clément’s hallmarks in crafting its champagnes. The second is the winemaking process, carried out partly in stainless-steel tanks and/or in 300-liter oak barrels of varying ages.
