Herbert & Co
At the end of 2010, Thomas Herbert and his partner Marie-Charlotte decided to create a new champagne brand alongside the family estate. Herbert & Co was born. The first harvest took place in 2016, and the first bottles went on sale in 2019. The couple farms a few hectares of the family estate in the premier cru commune of Rilly-la-Montagne. The cuvées are vinified in barrels and aged in the cellar for a minimum of three years. Their aim is to emphasize terroir and grape variety. Each year, Thomas and Marie-Charlotte select juices at harvest time to create ephemeral cuvées. Wines aged in barrels and amphorae are currently being developed.
