This is a top-of-the-range blend of chardonnay and pinot noir from premier and grand crus. The deep gold color is criss-crossed by numerous lively bubbles. The dominant chardonnay offers a fine, delicate and wonderfully lemony nose. On aeration, the lemon cake aspect is complemented by peach and pear notes. Beautiful minerality on the palate, with a voluptuous, even slightly honeyed texture. The freshness of the nose is somewhat regrettable, but this cuvée remains excellent overall. Enjoy with langoustines in court bouillon.
