Aromas of warm wax, ripe quince and almond pastry make up an opulent, fleshy bouquet, lightened by hints of gunflint and grapefruit zest. Conversely, the palate is all freshness and minerality, with a chalky sensation on the palate. Notes of crunchy white fruit are found in a light body. A touch of saline salivation enlivens the finish. An elegant, airy wine.

Frerejean Frères

Coming from a family of canon makers under the Napoleonic Empire, the three brothers Frerejean, Guillaume, Rodolphe and Richard, created their own champagne house in 2005. They produce their grand cru and premier cru cuvées exclusively from the Côte des Blancs, made only from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wines are disgorged late, with low dosage and aged from 6 to 12 years in the cellars.
