Gold leaf reflections on the robe, then a restrained nose that smells like gold leaf, on top of cinnamon stick-mineral brûlée, and lime, subtly floral, pear and citrus but not at all fruity, more mineral. Finely chiselled bubbles and ethereally light mousse on the patina palate. Delicate and chalky, sublime fruits of silken quince and cordon citron, lemon peel, so elegantly rich and generous despite no dosage. A warm welcoming wine perfect for aperitifs and fresh dishes. Brilliant.
