Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The house was founded in Reims in 1760 by François Delamotte. Marie-Louise de Nonancourt revived the brand in 1927 and established it in the village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Owned by the Laurent-Perrier Group, the house has been led since 1997 by Didier Depond, who also heads the Salon house. Michel Fauconnet, Laurent-Perrier’s longtime cellar master, is in charge of winemaking. The specialty remains Chardonnay from vineyards all classified as 100% Grand Cru. The lineup consists of four cuvées: one brut, two blancs de blancs, and one rosé.
