No dosage and only one year on its lees for this truly barely tinted cuvée, which smells of fresh fruit. The nose evokes notes of reduction before opening up to juicy pear and fresh rhubarb. The palate offers rare energy and a perfect youthful vibrancy. The wine combines real fruity gourmandise, gouleyance and precise uprightness. We also appreciate the absence of dosage on this cuvée, which really doesn't need it. Just great.

The Dehours family owns a 16-hectare vineyard spread over some forty parcels and three crus. The terroirs, on the slopes of Mareuil-le-Port, Œuilly and Troissy, offer great diversity (exposure, topography, soil type), which is reflected in a range of parcel-based cuvées. The wines are low in dosage, frank and full of life, in the image of their creator, a lover of good food and cigars. We were particularly impressed by the cuvées we tasted, and by the fine expression of the house's terroirs. The Dehours are committed to promoting the Coteaux-Champenois region, and offer still wines that are a must-taste.
