This cuvée has spent a minimum of 84 months in bottle. This long ageing process gives the wine intense aromas of toast, hazelnut and ripe yellow peach. On the palate, the attack is straightforward, with a taut texture despite a 7 g/l dosage. The finish is salty and slightly bitter, reminiscent of grapefruit.

The brand, now over a century old, was given a fresh start by Jean, who in 1974 became President of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. As for Alain, he pioneered wine tourism by creating a champagne museum in Aÿ. Today, the house offers haute-couture cuvées: "NV", aged five years in bottle, with the house dosage liqueur aged one year in Sauternes barrels; and "Blanc de Noirs", aged seven years in bottle, with the dosage liqueur aged in Burgundy barrels. The range of 6 champagnes is classified as grand cru, and is completed by 3 ratafias and 2 coteaux champenois.
