Gault&Millau's review 2026

The nose is rich, marked by toasted wood, vanilla and stone fruit (peach, apricot), with spices of cardamom and chai. On the palate, the attack is refreshing, followed by a creamy, dynamic texture. Wood still dominates, but there's length thanks to a saline, salivating finish. The wine has character and structure, but it will take some time to reveal its full potential.

Clandestin
Clandestin
Clandestin (sing. masc.): a 21st-century winemaker's house with Burgundian instincts and Champagne convictions, located in the Aube region. Benoît Doussot (sing. masc.): a winemaker driven by strong convictions that he passes on in his wines, thanks to his Burgundian know-how... The presentation of this original young company is more than succinct, but it corresponds well to its founder's desire to launch a haute couture trade in organic or in-conversion Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the Côte des Bar region. A confidential production, if not clandestine, that allows us to understand the nuances of grape varieties and exposures.
