Gault&Millau's review
This domaine seems rather enigmatic. It describes itself as "a 21st-century winegrowers' merchant, with a Burgundian instinct and a Champagne conviction, located in Buxières-sur-Arce, in the Aube region". For the past few years, Benoît Doussot and his partner Bertrand Gautherot (Vouette et Sorbée) have been producing around 16,000 bottles in the spirit of natural wines, sourcing from organic growers. The wines are particularly vibrant and lively. The two cuvées "Austral" and "Boréal" are two superb expressions of the same pinot grown on two different sides of the same hill. Tasting them together is an experience not to be missed. Volumes are small, and it's not possible to buy them on the estate.
