Torchet
Maison Torchet, based in Villenauxe-la-Grande in the Sézannais region, was founded in 1966 by Henri Torchet, who sold grapes from 2 ha of vines to the cooperative. In 1985, Élise and Frédéric Torchet took over the business and, in 2002, built their own cellars to vinify and market their cuvées. The first bottles were produced in 2004. Today, the estate covers 6.5 hectares, mainly in Villenauxe-la-Grande, where Chardonnay is king, but also in Les Riceys and Essoyes. The third generation - represented by Pierre-Henri in the vineyard, and Laëtitia in sales - now runs the estate. The vineyard is cultivated according to integrated viticulture practices, with a proportion of organic production. Recently, the Torchet house has enriched its range with new cuvées "signed Laëtitia".
