Description
Sponsored Located on the D938, on the Fontenay-La Châtaigneraie road, Le Stelvio restaurant was founded forty years ago by Team TotalEnergies cyclist Jean-René Bernadeau. Taken over four years ago by Jonathan Baptiste, the establishment serves homemade Italian and French cuisine, featuring pasta, pizzas, salads, fresh meats and fish. Charcuterie and cheeses are sourced directly from Italy. The menu changes twice a year, and the chef works a lot from the slate, with weekly and weekend suggestions. House specialties include the star-shaped Stelvio pizza, made with mozzarella di bufala, arugula, cured ham and parmesan, or the melt-in-the-mouth lamb mouse. Le Stelvio offers a selection of Italian wines and all its desserts are homemade, following the rhythm of the seasons. The restaurant welcomes groups, broadcasts matches and can be privatized on request. In fine weather, you can enjoy the two shaded terraces, one facing south and the other west.
