Gault&Millau's review2025
The village, dominated by the statue of the archangel Saint-Michel in the church tower, offers a remarkable view of the entire bocage from this highest point in the Vendée. Karina and Jérôme Métivier run this well-known local restaurant. The house is pleasant, and the chef works with a tradition that he has revised, while retaining a sense of good taste: organic snail cassolette with garlic butter, fricassee of girolles with meat jus and soft-boiled organic egg, beef cheek confit with anjou rouge, raspberry macaron with lime mascarpone cream and mango confit. Well-positioned cellar in tariffs, with loires and vendéens.
