Description
Sponsored Coralie Oblin and Stéphane Robert have chosen a prime location on Cambrai's magnificent Grand-Place to set up their bar-brasserie in an old building with a contemporary decor. In the kitchen, David Alalinarde sublimates a cuisine with comforting northern accents, such as flamiche with Maroilles, cocotte egg with truffle, chicken fillets au gratin with Maroilles, Flemish carbonade, roast camembert, meats and pork shanks, flambéed in front of the customer, as well as the excellent homemade crème brûlée. Using fruit, vegetables and other locally sourced produce, as well as fish from the Boulogne-sur-Mer fish auction, the Chef gives pride of place to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region in his gastronomic creations. The brasserie's terrace offers a panoramic view of the square and the campanile of the town hall, at the top of which you can see the famous Martin and Martine, his wife, two jaquemarts in Moorish garb pounding out the hours.
