Gourmet Restaurant As tenant of a wing of this former 18th-century general hospital transformed into a luxury hotel with spa, the chef comes to tell a storia of fine transalpine dishes and characterful wines. The bright, elegant decor gives pride of place to the massive original pillars in Hainaut blue stone and the high ceilings that bring the crystal chandeliers to life. After enjoying an aperitif in the splendid modern glass roof and the Atrium, Royal Hainaut's lounge bar, it's time to settle into this warm setting and enjoy a burrata and Jerusalem artichoke salad with autumn black truffle, or a highly successful vitello tonnato. The journey continues with a variety of pastas accompanied by a rabbit stew or truffle cream, not forgetting the traditional risotto or osso buco, all attractively presented on colorful plates with edible flowers and other freshly chopped condiments. Italian cheeses follow, as do cannoli, tiramisu, semifreddo and other desserts gladly accompanied by a glass of limoncello. The wine list is exclusively Italian, with some great wines to discover.
