Ruinart comes to Paris: gastronomic and oenological experiences on the agenda
Maison Ruinart relocates to Paris for eleven days, at Maison 1729. An opportunity to discover a new cuvée, as well as gourmet meals orchestrated by top chefs.
Ruinart, the oldest champagne house, is leaving Reims for Paris for a few days this autumn. From October 12 to 22, 2023, this great name in oenology will occupy an ephemeral space, named Maison 1729 for the occasion, at 5 rue Saint-Merri, in the 4th arrondissement. For eleven days, Maison Ruinart invites food lovers to enjoy culinary and oenological experiences, as well as to discover the champagne-making process.
Maison 1729: the program of festivities
Once through the doors of Maison 1729, the public can discover the documentary film "Savoir (Re)faire" by Yann-Arthus Bertrand and Jérémy Frey. Over the course of a year, the duo travelled to Ruinart's vineyards in Reims to gain a better understanding of the impact of climate change in Champagne. These profound changes, which disrupt the vine cycle and the ripening of the grape berry, have prompted the winemakers to imagine new ways of making wine. Visitors to Maison 1729 will also be able to discover an exhibition on the three climatic indicators that Ruinart follows (temperature, sunshine, rainfall) and learn about the evolution of champagne production over the last thirty years.
This ephemeral venue will also be an opportunity to discover the House's new cuvée, Ruinart Blanc Singulier, to be tasted during masterclasses hosted by sommeliers specially flown in from Reims. Maison 1729 will also host exceptional lunches and dinners, orchestrated by Arnaud Donckele, Claire Vallée, Grégory Garimbay and Valérie Radou, chef at Maison Ruinart in Reims. Finally, a boutique selling Ruinart Blanc Singulier will also enable customers to personalize the house's bottles. A 360° experience to be discovered from October 12, 2023.
