The 56ᵉ edition of the Prix International de Cuisine d'Auteur Taittinger crowns Sweden and its chef Louis Dupuy-Roudel. Find out where France stands in this ranking.

The final of the 56ᵉ edition of the Prix International de Cuisine d'Auteur Taittinger was held this Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Paris. After long hours of testing at Le Cordon Bleu, the verdict was finally revealed during a ceremony at the Musée des Beaux-Arts, crowning Sweden's Louis Dupuy-Roudel, of Persona restaurant in Stockholm. Switzerland, represented by Kevin Vaubourg, of Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, took second place, while Belgian Paul Guenot, of Ma Langue Sourit in Moutfort, came third. Arthur Debray, runner-up to Yohann Chapuis in Tournus and defending the colors of France, came within a whisker of the podium, taking fourth place.

Each year, the Taittinger prize requires candidates to sublimate a specific culinary product. For this 2024 edition, the nine competing chefs had to propose their interpretation of a pollack and two lobsters for eight people, before adding the ingredients of their choice.

A revelation of talent

A total of nine candidates, victorious in their respective countries, competed under the watchful eye of an exceptional jury, chaired for the first time by Eric Frechon, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and chef of the Epicure restaurant at the Bristol in Paris. Frechon replaced Emmanuel Renaut, who has chaired the Le Taittinger International Culinary Prize jury since 2013. He was supported by a number of national and international chefs, including Georgiana Viou, Dominique Crenn, Tom Meyer, Alexandre Gauthier, Philippe Mille and François Perret.

Created in 1967, the Taittinger Prize has been a veritable talent spotlight for over fifty years. Past winners include such renowned chefs as Joël Robuchon, Michel Roth and Régis Marcon.
