Axel Goujon launches his high-end chocolate factory
Axel Goujon, son of chef Gilles Goujon, launches "Axel et la chocolaterie", a new address dedicated to high-end creations, in the heart of the Corbières.
in Fontjoncouse, a new page is being written for the Goujon family. Alongside the emblematic Auberge du Vieux Puits (5 toques), a chocolate shop now enriches the house's universe. Spearheaded by Axel Goujon, pastry chef and son of Gilles Goujon, this project marks the culmination of a long-standing passion for working with chocolate.
A high-end universe
Inaugurated at the end of May in a building adjacent to the restaurant, the boutique was conceived as a space entirely devoted to creation and gourmet delights. at just 26 years of age, Axel Goujon is developing his own universe, while maintaining the high standards and expertise for which the family business is renowned. Far from being a traditional chocolate shop, the place has a high-end approach. The idea is to offer pieces crafted with the same attention to detail as a precious object, in a setting where chocolate is treated as an exceptional product.
Visitors will be able to discover assortments of chocolates, as well as creations inspired by other flavors such as tea, vanilla or coffee. The young pastry chef also intends to surprise with more original creations, such as fake chocolate cigars presented in a real cigar box.
Golden tickets on the shelves
The name of the boutique was not chosen at random. A nod to the famous world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it is accompanied by a playful concept: golden tickets will be concealed in certain bars, offering their lucky discoverers a meal at the Auberge du Vieux Puits.
Beyond this opening, the project also symbolizes the transmission of a family heritage and the desire to bring even more life to the village of Fontjoncouse. With this new address, Axel Goujon is asserting his identity while helping to promote a region deeply attached to gastronomy.
