Christophe Aribert opens Le Comptoir in Grenoble
Christophe Aribert will set up his new address in the heart of Grenoble in late spring 2026. Named Le Comptoir, this hybrid venue will be housed in the former Sainte-Cécile convent.
in late spring 2026, Grenoble will welcome a new gastronomic and cultural address. Here, Christophe Aribert will inaugurate Le Comptoir, a living space imagined as an urban extension of his Maison Aribert (4 toques). Housed in the former Saint-Cécile convent, a 17thᵉ century building now occupied by Éditions Glénat, this project marks the meeting of historical heritage and contemporary vision of the table.
One place, several offers
Conceived as a plural space, Le Comptoir intends to live to the rhythm of the city from morning until night. The venue will offer a restaurant focused on carefully sourced products, in a glass-roofed dining room or on the terrace. It will also include a tea room for a refined sweet offering, as well as a sandwich and grocery store featuring artisanal street-food and local takeaway products. A space will also be dedicated to the organization of private or professional events.
Beyond its culinary offering, Le Comptoir boasts a strong identity linked to its heritage setting. The former Bernardines convent, with its 17thᵉ century architecture, dialogues with a contemporary scenography made of noble materials and clean lines. The whole creates a warm, vibrant atmosphere, far removed from traditional gastronomic codes, where ancient stone becomes a living décor.
The cuisine, true to Christophe Aribert's signature, will be based on sharing and a responsible approach. Proposals include tomato carpaccio, roasted eggplant, fried Royan ravioli, trout vitello and chocolate mousse à la louche.
