Chef : 1 restaurantBorn in Grenoble in 1971, Christophe Aribert never strayed far from the Vercors region where he grew up. A student at the local hotel school, he began his training on the banks of the Rhône, in Condrieu, in the kitchens of the elegant Hôtel Beau Rivage.before joining the Grand Hôtel d'Uriage les Bains for a few seasons.
He then moved to Paris for two years, working at the Tour d'Argent and then alongside Christian Constant at Les Ambassadeurs, the table at the Hôtel de Crillon. In 1997, homesickness and a great opportunity brought him back to the region of his childhood. At the Grand Hôtel, chef Philippe Bouissou was looking for a second-in-command, and Christophe Aribert was to be that man until 2004, when the chef left for the Ardèche, where he went to relaunch the family inn.
He's not yet 35, but he's not afraid of the challenge of running a restaurant of this level. The toques are preserved and consolidated thanks to a constant effort in product sourcing, until, in 2019, this restaurateur's son decides to open his own establishment, just a few dozen meters from the Grand Hôtel where he has built a name for himself.
There, this chef, who has clearly understood that his role is not only to feed or seduce, but also to protect the environment and bring out the best in the region, is more fulfilled than ever. In this beautiful house made entirely of glass, stone, earth and metal, he works exclusively with local ingredients, as if to better highlight the nature that is knocking vigorously at his door, without ever conceding an inch to the eco-responsible approach of which he has become a spokesperson.
