Description
Fish shop Noémie Le Mens opened her little corner of the ocean in 2018, a stone's throw from the Brest harbor fish market, where she goes every morning and afternoon. Her fish and shellfish are all sourced from local fisheries, bought at the auction or from the fishermen. Daughter, sister-in-law and wife of a fisherman, she also buys from family and friends: a guarantee of freshness and quality for the Idées Bleues stalls! You'll find around thirty varieties of whole fish, as well as fillets (cod, pollack, whiting, haddock, etc.) made by her own hands. Seafood is also well represented, with live langoustines, shellfish and spider crabs. You can also order seafood platters, made to order. This is how Brest locals come to "Chez Noémie" for exceptional products, sound advice... and a beautiful smile. "I've always wanted a family-run, welcoming fish shop," explains Noémie. "A sense of service and a taste for sharing are just as important as impeccable quality! Wednesday mornings at the Sizun market (8am-1pm) and Sunday mornings at the Daoulas market (9am-12.30pm).
