Producer La Perle d'Argent is sure to be a great tasting experience! Nicolas and his wife Marie welcome you to their authentic shack, as soon as a ray of sunshine allows you to enjoy their terrace on the charming little port of Andernos-les-Bains. There, you can sample their oysters, accompanied by a tasty Entre-Deux-Mers white wine and, why not, some whelks, shrimps and Landes pâté. But before being tasted, the family business' oysters are bred "in paradise", with the Bay of Arcachon as their setting and Île aux Oiseaux as their panorama. The demanding shellfish grow for 3? years in the traditional way, at the mercy of the winds and tides, in the heart of this beautiful lagoon. And it's precisely these natural hazards that give them the distinctive flavor that so delights the taste buds of oyster lovers. Nicolas Mercier oysters can be found every weekend in winter, under the halles de Mimizan-Plage, and every day in season, as well as at their cabin.
