Bakery Behind Ker Bara, more than just a bakery, you'll find a team committed to good bread and to supporting local farmers and the environment. The bakery offers organic, naturally leavened bread baked over a wood-fired oven, using farmer-sourced flours. Customers surprise their palates and end up adoring the bread, with its distinctive crust and flavor reminiscent of childhood for some. There are no baguettes or white breads here, only sliced bread, for better preservation. Country seed bread, German bread and cinnamon babkas are the house's flagship products! You can also order your bread 48 to 72 hours before picking it up (as the fermentation time is long!). Le Fournil de Ker Bara is present at markets and retailers (organic stores and small grocery stores) in the Rennes area, and is about to launch a range of viennoiseries made with panettone sourdough. Attention customers who have already fallen for the brioche provençale with plain or chocolate olive oil, as well as the cookies! You can find La Fournil de Ker Bara on Wednesdays at the Sainte-Thérèse market, on Friday afternoons at the Saint-Sulpice-la-Forêt market and on Saturdays at the Cesson-Sévigné market.
