Gault&Millau's review
Winemaker Chantal and Jean Berthet-Bondet settled in Château-Chalon in 1984, and harvested their first grapes in 1985. The estate's 15 ha of vines have been certified organic since 2013. Hélène, their eldest daughter, took over from her father in 2018. The house, with its 16th-century vaulted cellar, is adorned with the coats of arms of the noble Franc-Comtois families who supplied numerous abbesses to the château's abbey. The wines are perfect.
