Bakery For the past three years, just a stone's throw from the Loire à Vélo cycle route and right in the center of Lignières, La Boulangerie d'Antho has been making all its products in-house, using quality raw materials. Here, "everything is homemade, from A to Z", assures owner Anthony Châtain. Its breads are made from roasted flours, including its famous Pailloux loaf (a rustic bread); its viennoiseries are made with Lescure PDO butter; and its pastries are created by its two in-house pastry chefs. There's a choice of flans, fine tarts, choux pastries... "We offer a lot of apple pastries because we're surrounded by apple trees, so the raw material is local and plentiful! Like our tarte vigneronne: a fine tart with caramelized apples and wine jam." A sure bet! In summer, La Boulangerie d'Antho serves homemade ice creams on the terrace, to locals and tourists alike. And all year round, you can order a morning coffee to accompany your croissant. Open Tuesday to Friday 6.30am to 1.30pm and 3pm to 7.30pm, Saturday 7am to 1.30pm and 3pm to 7.30pm and Sunday 7am to 1pm. Closed on Mondays.
