Description

Since 1977, Guy and Colette Larmandier have been established in Vertus, a village marking the boundary of the Côte des Blancs. On some 9 hectares, they make very fine, distinguished and balanced Blancs de blancs with their son François. The vineyard spreads over the Grand Crus of Chouilly and Cramant, as well as the Premier Crus of Vertus and Cuis, mainly in Chardonnay.

Gault&Millau's review
The dosage in sugar which might be a little more pronounced than in the Extra Brut version of the same vintage, offers more breadth and depth in a crisp and invigorating atmosphere. The bouquet seems more generous with aromas of ripe fruit. The power is also more present with a remarkable length. It could be paired with fish with white butter sauce.

The creamy attack then reveals a well-chiselled and sharp wine with notes of citrus and green apples. This delicate and discreet Cramant would go well with carpaccio of river fish.

Gault&Millau's review

Gault&Millau's review
This cuvée is all subtlety and does not overdo it: it is simply refreshing yet with a great finesse. Everything is low-key with a discreet saltiness. There are notes of white flowers, caramel and nuts as well as an incredible energy with moth-watering citrus zest flavours.

Gault&Millau's review
This cuvée is what should be expected from this estate. It presents extremely this, crisp and discreetly creamy bubbles. On the palate, the wine shows white fruits aromas with notes of pear and peach. The atmosphere is superb: still salty and zesty yet with finesse. A very fine champagne.

Gault&Millau's review
The salmon colour heralds a great presence which is confirmed on the nose by tangy red fruit notes. On the palate, this wine is like a breath of fresh air with a delightful, mouth-watering and thirst-quenching sensation. The dosage is very well managed, allowing the fruitiness, and particularly the citrus fruits to be revealed. It would match well with seafood.

Gault&Millau's review
This is certainly the most expressive and deepest wine of the range. It reveals toasted notes, soft spices and Mirabelle plum. The vinosity is remarkable and matches with the estate style, more subtle than demonstrative. The length is amazing. It could be paired with white meat. Just superb.

Gault&Millau's review
