Gault&Millau's review
Handed down from generation to generation since 1696, Warnet carries out all the stages of champagnization itself. Located in Nogent-l'Abbesse, the terroir is spread over one of the chalky hillsides of the Reims mountains. Comprising 38 plots with an average age of 39 years, the vineyard is planted exclusively with Chardonnay. Some parcels are over 65 years old. Cuvées are aged in our cellars for six to eight years before being offered for tasting. We like well-aged Chardonnays that offer a certain creaminess on the palate, but retain that freshness and tension on the finish. The single plot of Pinot Noir produces a dedicated cuvée.
