Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Founded by Thomas Cheurlin, the tenth generation of a line of winemakers based in Celles-sur-Ource since the 7th century, the Vaucelle brand embodies a commitment to producing authentic champagnes, rooted in the terroir and faithful to family traditions. The name “Vaucelle,” derived from Old Champenois, evokes a small plot of land or a small valley. The cuvées are crafted exclusively from grapes grown on the estate’s 22 hectares (as a “récoltant manipulant”) using sustainable viticulture certified under the HVE 3 and VDC standards. The Thomas Cheurlin house also produces the Comte de Cheurlin and Cheurlin-Dangin champagnes.
