Val'Frison

Champagnes

Gault&Millau's review
Valérie Frison cultivates 6 ha of vines at Ville-sur-Arce, a village on the Côte des Bar in the southern Champagne region. Pinot Noirs occupy 93% of the surface area, Chardonnays the remaining 7%, and only half is used for her own production. The vines have been grown organically since 2003. The wines are vinified plot by plot, in barrel, then blended. Unclaimed, the champagnes are made from a single vintage, and the quality of the wines improves from year to year. A victim of its own success, the domaine sells only to the best wine merchants and restaurants.
