Gault&Millau's review
Éric and Isabelle continue the family saga, which began in 1806. On the Reims mountain, they produce almost 90,000 bottles from 10 hectares (over 109 parcels), using all the Champagne grape varieties through massal selections (40% pinot meunier, 30% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay). Their champagnes are often beautifully vinous. For several years now, in addition to organic viticulture, agroforestry has been implemented at the estate, with the planting of different species of trees and plant cover in a spirit of "frugal viticulture". This is also the fifth consecutive year that sheep have grazed the vines, acting as a natural weedkiller. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts, fermentation in wood (demi-muids, new barrels or not), perpetual reserve in vats since 1995, and long, even very long, aging on laths all contribute to the elaboration of the different cuvées, without fining or filtration.
