Apples and pears, but no scoubidous in this round, pleasant bouquet with floral and eucalyptus aromas. The palate is very amiable, with a tangy structure that balances out with an intense chalky feel that coats the palate. Woody tannins come to the fore on the finish.

Prévoteau-Perrier

At the gateway to the Marne Valley, in the town of Damery, the Prévoteau-Perrier family carries on the legacy of their illustrious predecessors. In addition to Damery and the surrounding area, Delphine and Christophe own vineyards on the southern slopes of Épernay, in Chouilly, and in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger—areas renowned for their Chardonnay. In total, they have 30 hectares, 22 of which are freehold and harvested by hand. From this harvest, they produce about ten cuvées, some of which are aged for 2 to 5 years, sometimes in oak barrels. This meticulous work is led by Christophe, who has recently begun passing on his expertise to his son, Mathis.
