A blend of chardonnay and pinot meunier, this extra brut has a complex, warm nose, punctuated by notes of peach compote and mirabelle plums, suggesting that pinot meunier dominates the blend. On aeration, fresh scents of menthol and lime emerge. On the palate, the wine is succulent, both fruity and mineral. The umami aspect is well present, giving way to a vibrant finish of minerality and freshness. Very successful. The flesh of a spider should give it away.
