The chiselled bubbles of this still very young wine (2016 and 2015 harvests) precede a very pure nose. The silky, crystalline palate reveals the delicate terroir of the Grand Cru du Mesnil. This restrained champagne should reveal its full potential in a few years' time. It could then be paired with fine shellfish such as spider crab.

Paul Launois

Julien, the current owner of the estate of 6.5 hectares, created the brand Paul Launois, named after his son, to create a break with the champagne of his father that was produced at the cooperative (Champagne Jean-Paul Launois). He initiated the vinification and ageing "single barrel" which consists of separating the harvest into 10 new Champagne barrels made with 5 different toasts. The resulting bottles created from the barrels are then gradually auctioned after the still wines have been tasted. Alongside this original concept, a "classic" range is also offered.
