Gault&Millau's review
The Domaine Ponson cultivates 13 ha of vines spread over five villages in the Little Mountain of Reims, including Sacy and Ville-Dommange. Maxime and Camille Ponson, young fifth-generation winemakers, are at the helm of this family-run operation. Certified organic, the estate produces around 110,000 bottles. The wines are aged on lees for a minimum of three years, and plot-based cuvées in blanc de blancs and blanc de noirs are offered. The entire range is well worth discovering, especially as it offers excellent value for money. The domaine is open weekdays, ideally by appointment.
