Mouzon-Leroux et Fils
Located in Verzy, the Mouzon-Leroux & Fils estate has been operating since 1776 on one of the prestigious Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims. The 8 ha of vines (pinot noir, chardonnay, arbane, pinots gris and blanc, meunier and petit meslier) have been worked biodynamically since 2008 and are certified organic and Demeter. The soil of the young vines is worked with a horse to avoid soil compaction, and chickens and sheep come to feed in winter. An agroforestry enthusiast, Sébastien Mouzon has planted over 1,000 trees and shrubs in his vineyards. In the cellar, alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeast, and neither filtration nor fining is practiced. All our wines are of the highest quality, and are waiting to be discovered.
