2023 90/100

50% Pinot Noir, complemented by 30% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay from Montagne de Reims vineyards, make up this cuvée with its measured dosage. On the nose, the wine appears lively. On the palate, the aromatic complexity is already present, but we'll have to wait a few more years for this cuvée to reach maturity. It could then be served with a seafood vol-au-vent.

Michel Forget

Well-known to our guide for several years, Michel Forget heads the Forget-Brimont estate, which he founded in 1978. In 2000, he joined forces with Frédéric Jorez to manage 19 ha of north-facing vines on the Reims mountain. The estate, which has been committed to an environmentally-friendly approach for several years, only produces Pinot Noir from the great terroirs of Mailly and Verzenay, while the Premier Crus come from the villages of Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes and Villers-Allerand. All cuvées are made with a minimum of 40% reserve wines, and are released only after two to ten years' rest in the cellar before disgorging.
