Gault&Millau's review
For thirteen generations, the estate, located in Verzy, a grand cru village on the Reims mountain, has offered 18 ha of vines on 23 parcels, mostly pinot noir. Yaël and Jonathan Sacy took over the business in 2018. The sister and brother lead a "paysanne" and responsible viticulture with tillage and natural grassing, plant cover and vitiforestry. Since 2022, the estate has been in organic conversion on the Treslon terroir and, since the 2023 harvest, in organic production on the Verzy and Cernay-lès-Reims terroirs. They practice biodynamic viticulture. Yaël and Jonathan are currently working on vinification mainly in stainless steel vats, but also in barrels or demi-muids, depending on the cuvée. In 2024, new cuvées with new vinifications will be released under the name "Champagne Sacy Sœur&Frère".
