Launched in January 2018, Champagne Louis de Chatet is a brand developed for the professional market (wine merchants) and for export by Pierre Launay, a house that has been based in Barbonne-Fayel in the Sézannais region, south of the Côte des Blancs, since 1973. The vineyard spans 14 hectares, two-thirds of which are located in the Côte de Sézanne on chalky slopes ideal for Chardonnay, and one-third in the Côte des Bars, where Pinot Noir thrives. The three brothers—Laurent, Lionel, and Jérôme—jointly manage the estate as independent winemakers who harvest and process their own grapes.
