Gault&Millau's review
In the 1960s Jean Velut and his wife Huguette decided to transform their farm into a wine only domain, increasing the planted areas and selling their grapes to negotiants, before launching production of their own champagnes with their son Denis. Benoît has taken over now, running a large area of 7.5 hectares located in Montgueux in the Aube, near the city of Troyes. The labels and the names of the cuvées may have changed, but the wines produced from this sunny terroir have kept the beautiful expression of their origin.
