Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Aline and Olivier are the fourth generation to cultivate vineyards in the little-known Premier Cru village of Les Mesneux, just outside Reims. Their daughter Diane, an oenologist, has joined them on the estate. As independent winemakers, they vinify only their own grapes from the terroirs of Sacy, Les Mesneux, and Ville-Dommange. Olivier emphasizes the “fresh ripeness” of the grapes through careful soil management, the choice of vinification in tanks and barrels, the art of low dosage, and by “harvesting” the wines at just the right moment. The range of seven champagnes is particularly well-conceived and delightful.
