With its brilliant color, this wine reveals a complex nose evoking blackberry, pear, plum, hazelnut, toast and leather, enriched by notes of beeswax, marzipan and peanut butter. The palate has a discreet creamy effervescence, with a taut, brilliantly fresh attack. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, walnut and cocoa mingle harmoniously with clementine, dried apricot and mango, supported by a mineral touch. Although the bubbles begin to fade and the texture to waver, the aromatic evolution remains perfectly controlled, retaining a slight tension. The finish lingers for a long time, testifying to a fine balance to be savored now.

Jacques Chaput

The salamander, emblem of King François I, is accompanied by the motto "Nutrisco & Extinguo" ("I feed it and I extinguish it"), which can be interpreted as "I feed the good fire and I extinguish the bad one". The House of Jacques Chaput has adopted these symbols as its own, reflecting what drives the family in the vineyard and in the cellar: "May the pleasure we have had in tasting our champagnes be equal to the pleasure we have had in revealing them!" Run today by Jacky and Jason Chaput, the estate is spread over 14 hectares of vines, mainly planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wines of Jacques Chaput are the fruit of the happy marriage between a vineyard accompanied through the seasons, careful ageing in the cellar and, of course, a little talent.
