Marthe Deligny Cuvée Réserve
Jacques Busin
Gault&Millau's review
92/100
The daughter of a Montagne de Reims winemaker, Marthe Deligny launched her first cuvée in 2011, a "simple" grand cru cuvée. Made from a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, this champagne has a festive appearance. The color is golden and brilliant, and the effervescence is sustained. A gourmand boudoir fragrance expresses itself with white fruits, exotic fruits and liqueur-like fruits. Hints of roasted brioche mark a certain evolution. The palate is frank and ample, with zesty citrus fruit. Persistent chewiness. This champagne is reminiscent of the terroirs of great wines. Enjoy as an aperitif or with a roast poularde de Racan.
