Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
For the past six years, Joëlle Weiss has been the winemaker at this relatively young house, which was founded as recently as 1964. Jacquart is known for a style of Champagne dominated by Chardonnay and distinguished by its lack of oak. Only aging on the lees ensures the roundness of the wines. For its grape supply, Jacquart relies on approximately 900 winegrowers spread across all of Champagne’s terroirs, covering an area of 1,000 hectares on which 60 crus have been identified. This mosaic of soils, terroirs, and grape varieties gives rise to a small selection of six wines, including two rosés and one semi-dry.
